    • Prior to joining Shore Physicians Group in May 2022, Dr. Cerna served as an attending physician in primary care and hospital medicine at Mary Imogene Bassett Medical Center since 2017. She received her Medical Degree from Universidad Autonoma de Honduras. She completed her internal medicine residency with Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, NY, affiliated with Weil Cornell Medical Center College. In addition to caring for patients during her tenure at Mary Imogene Bassett Medical Center, Dr. Cerna also supervised and taught internal medicine residents and medical students. Before coming to the United States, Dr. Cerna served as a primary care physician in Honduras. She has participated in numerous community service programs both in Honduras and the United States, including a project in the Bronx to help reduce the obesity rate in children.

I haven’t been to the doctors for almost 11 years prior to seeing Dr. Cerna. I had so many negative experiences with staff and doctors for both myself and my children and my family that I just wasn’t motivated to go to the doctor especially having to find a new one. my daughter was the first one to go to Dr. Cerna and convinced me to also go see her. Angie and Dr. Cerna truly are amazing people. Easy to talk to you know they are listening to you. You can tell that they are invested in you as a person. I’ve since brought my husband over to the practice and tell everybody that is looking for a doctor. They have to see Dr. Cerna and Angie.
