Charles V. Roche III, MD was born and raised in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Dr.Roche graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School, St. Joseph's University and Thomas Jefferson University before heading to Christiana Hospital for Internal Medicine residency. He has served Shore Physicians Group in several different roles since 2010. Originally brought on board as a staff hospitalist at Shore Medical Center, Dr. Roche then served as Director of Hospitalist Services for the Hospital and Chief of Medical Information Officer for a period of five years before transitioning into an outpatient role in Ocean City and Marmora. He sees Primary Care as a vital service to help promote health and to treat illness in patients at every stage of life. Dr. Roche has patients raging in age from 16 to 102 and in every case tries to work with the patient on the issues that matter most to the patient, rather than just treating numbers and prescribing medicines. Particular clinical interests include promoting awareness of and access to treatment for anxiety and depression, helping patients navigate challenges of aging successfully and emphasizing the role of preventive services, nutrition and exercise to living a healthy and happy life. In his spare time Dr. Roche enjoys spending time with his 2 daughters, wife, friends and dog, traveling to Ireland, golfing and fishing.
