Dante Marconi, MD, FAAOS is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery with an emphasis on diagnosing and treating a wide range of patients with sports related and non-sports related injuries, such as acute and chronic joint ailments. Treatments include shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee arthroscopy as well as shoulder, hip, and knee joint replacements. Dr. Marconi focuses on minimally invasive procedures, resulting in limited downtime and rapid return to sport and normal activities in addition to caring for general bone and joint health. Dr. Marconi is one of a select few surgeons in South Jersey to perform ACL repair using a BEAR (Bridge-Enhanced ACL Repair) Implant, a medical device used to help heal a torn ACL without using a graft from another part of the body.

Bio

Before joining Shore Physicians Group, Dr. Marconi completed his Sports Medicine and Shoulder fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston McGovern Medical School. During this fellowship, Dr. Marconi worked with sports teams from the University of Houston and local high schools. He also worked directly with professional sports teams, including the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo, and Houston Dash. In his spare time, Dr. Marconi enjoys weight lifting and exercise, sports, travel, art and graphic design, as well as exploring new and exciting dining experiences. Born and raised in Blackwood, NJ, Dr. Marconi went on to graduate Magna Cum Lude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Marconi went to Philadelphia, PA where he received his Doctorate of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and completed his General Surgery Internship at Temple University Hospital. After his internship, Dr. Marconi completed his five-year residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During his time in New York, Dr. Marconi worked at the New York Presbyterian Hospital system as well.
