I am very educated with 7 degrees, and I found my previous Nurse Practitioner Anne, and my present one Amy to be very smart and caring. I want the best, and sadly Doctors only Practice Medicine, whereas Nurse Practitioners create Miracles!

Amy was great for my telehealth on Tue . She listened to me I showed her my rash from shingles. At that point symptoms were mild. She prescribed antiviral medicine and explained it might be too late because I had symptoms for a while. Woke up Wed morning in excruciating pain. I called the office and spoke to Brian on the phone was excellent. He transferred the call to. I believe Megan who listened to me and they got back in a timely manner. They told me to go to the ER but I explained I’ve already been diagnosed. I know it’s shingles. What should I do? They got back within less than an hour and prescribed an steroid and she did explain what to do. She told me that I should have relief pretty quickly with the steroid. I followed the directions on how to use the steroid was in pain all day Wednesday and Wednesday night woke up Thursday still in excruciating pain. I called the office at 8 AM I told him the steroid wasn’t working And they transferred me again telling me to go to ER which I declined. I am not waiting in the ER for two hours and excruciating pain when I know it’s shingles shingles that you have seen me on a visit and diagnosed. I called back at 9 AM. Spoke to another receptionist. They transferred me and they said they were speaking to Amy. They said I would either have gabapentin or oxycodone and that Amy would get back to me. I waited to 11:45 and still never heard back so I called again spoke to the receptionist who was polite but short wasn’t given my answers and she said I will transfer you to our supervisor up to this point everyone was polite and we’re trying to help and I understand that things happen in our office that can’t be prevented when I spoke to the supervisor he was extremely rude and insulting to me. He answered in a defensive matter I was not arguing. I was in too much pain even to raise my voice. He said stop talking over me. I said I’m not talking to you. I just need results. I’ve been waiting in pain for three hours and still haven’t spoken to Amy. He explained that she’s extremely busy and he she can’t answer the phone when you call which I completely understand but I’ve been waiting four hours for medicine. I have worked in customer service for over 30 years and I know how to handle situations and I know when people are trying to BS me. Up until this point I was upset for getting the run around and in painfor 24hrs. He did transfer me to Amy and she was polite and helpful as always she explained my different options with either gabapentin or the oxycodone and I’ve decided to go with the gabapentin and I had relief within a short period of time. I understand things happen in an office and people take off and there’s a breakdown in communication But the way I was treated by your office supervisor was awful and I will probably be pulling my whole family out of your practice and finding another doctor
