SPY Elite Research, June 2011 - Gathering database and analysis using SPY Elite Technology to evaluate flap perfusion and viability. Presented literature review on use of intra-operative ICG fluorescence in various operative scenarios. The goal of research is to evaluate several institutions and their experience and outcomes using SPY Elite system in breast and other reconstructive surgeries.
Volume Adjustment of Tissue Expanders in Breast Reconstruction to Optimize Fields of Radiation Therapy, May 2011 - Presented two case reports of patients undergoing immediate breast reconstruction with tissue expansion and requiring subsequent deflation to optimize radiation therapy. Provides a graphic presentation demonstrating the need for occasional volume adjustment in tissue expanders to minimize the field of radiation therapy.
